Who we are

About the Legion

For nearly 100 years, Salmon Arm Legion Branch #62 has been a place of remembrance, camaraderie, and community service in the Shuswap. As part of the Royal Canadian Legion, we are dedicated to supporting veterans, active service members, and their families while preserving the sacrifices and stories of those who served our country.

Beyond our commitment to veterans, Branch #62 is proud to be an active part of the Salmon Arm community. Through commemorative ceremonies, fundraising initiatives, community events, and local partnerships, we continue to make a meaningful impact throughout the region.

Community Involvement

Salmon Arm Legion Branch #62 is proud to be more than a veterans' organization. We are an active and dedicated part of the Shuswap community. For nearly a century, our members have supported local initiatives through fundraising, volunteerism, sponsorships, and community partnerships that make a meaningful difference throughout the region.

Over the years, we have contributed to youth programs, cadet organizations, local charities, bursaries, and community groups, helping to support future generations and strengthen our community connections. Branch #62 also played a key role in establishing the Gardom Lake Veterans Camp and Recreation Area in 1961, creating a lasting legacy for veterans and their families.

Our commitment to remembrance remains at the heart of what we do. Through the annual Poppy Campaign, Remembrance Day services, and commemorative events throughout the year, we honour the service and sacrifice of Canada's veterans while ensuring their stories continue to be shared.

Whether we are raising funds, supporting local organizations, hosting community events, or bringing people together, Salmon Arm Legion Branch #62 remains committed to serving both our veterans and our community with pride, respect, and dedication.
